How Did Our 640-Ton Horizontal Hydraulic Shear Help an Indonesian Scrap Center Increase Output?
In October 2025, Wanshida Hydraulic Machinery successfully delivered our Q43W-6300A Horizontal Hydraulic Shear to a major scrap processing center in Indonesia. The customer had long been facing challenges with cutting heavy and oversized steel materials, which resulted in low efficiency, high labor costs, and frequent downtime with their previous equipment.
After evaluating their scrap types, cutting frequency, and production volume, our engineering team recommended the 640-ton horizontal container shear, a model widely used in medium-to-large scrap yards for its strong cutting capability and stable output performance.
Before contacting us, the Indonesian client experienced several issues:
Existing shear was too weak to cut thick steel plates, I-beams, and bundled scrap.
Low cutting speed slowed down daily production.
High labor intensity, requiring multiple workers to handle long or irregular pieces manually.
Frequent mechanical failures, causing unstable operation and increased maintenance costs.
These problems limited the customer’s processing capacity and prevented them from accepting larger orders.
The Q43W-6300A proved to be the perfect solution:
The dual cutting cylinders handle heavy scrap effortlessly—steel plates up to 40mm thick, large beams, channel steel bundles, and round bars.
This eliminated their previous issue of “material too hard to cut.”
With a cutting frequency of 3–4 times per minute, the customer’s daily output increased by more than 40%.
This allows operators to load oversized scrap without pre-cutting.
Result: less labor, faster workflow, and lower operating cost.
The machine uses 3 sets of 45kW motors and high-quality pumps, ensuring continuous operation even in hot climates like Indonesia.
The PLC automatic control + remote-control system significantly improved safety and reduced the number of workers needed on-site.
After one month of operation, the Indonesian customer shared:
“This shear completely changed our processing efficiency.
It cuts heavy scrap smoothly and saves us a lot of manual work.
The output is very stable — much better than our previous equipment.”
